My own ‘out of mind’ experience was I guess the first three books I wrote under a pseudonym. Ghostwriting with only myself with whom to discuss the work! Believe me,the sincere hassle of cashing up the royalty checks was reason enough not to do that again. My fourth book which I am writing now will be under my own name.
